“World of Color − Winter Dreams,” an all-new holiday version of the popular “World of Color” after-dark spectacular, will debut at Disney California Adventure Park, Friday, Nov. 15, adding even more merriment to the holiday season at the Disneyland Resort.
Hosted by Olaf the snowman, from the upcoming Walt Disney Pictures animated feature “Frozen,” the “World of Color − Winter Dreams” show combines new animation with classic winter scenes from such beloved Disney films as “Bambi,” “Fantasia” and “Toy Story.” The show will include new special effects and present some new methods for utilizing the massive “stage” of water, color and light on which “World of Color” is presented.
Steve Davison, creative director of the original “World of Color” show in Disney California Adventure, is also staging “World of Color − Winter Dreams.” Davison, vice president of parades and spectaculars, Walt Disney Imagineering Creative Entertainment, said: “I am so excited to be bringing new magic to ‘World of Color’ this holiday season. The brand-new show is filled with great music, new effects and, of course, all the magnificence of the ‘World of Color’ fountain and projection system. It’s going to be a very powerful and amazing experience for guests of all ages.”
Millions of guests have enjoyed “World of Color” since it opened to rave reviews in 2010, part of the five-year expansion of Disney California Adventure. The breathtaking, nighttime spectacular brings animation to life on Paradise Bay, as nearly 1,200 powerful fountains create one of the world’s largest projected water screens.
Holidays are always a very special time at the Disneyland Resort, with themed entertainment, sparkling decorations, delicious treats and holiday shopping. Along with the new “World of Color − Winter Dreams,” the season will welcome the return of beloved Disneyland Park holiday traditions such as “A Christmas Fantasy” parade, Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle, “it’s a small world” Holiday and “Believe…in Holiday Magic” fireworks followed by a holiday snowfall on Main Street, U.S.A., New Orleans Square and “it’s a small world” mall. Of course, Santa Claus appears in the parade throughout the season and also will be greeting guests and listening to holiday wishes through Dec. 24.

An enormous 314-acre oceanfront property on the south shore of Martha’s Vineyard, known as Homer’s Pond, has just been listed with South Light Property LLC. One of the largest coastal properties for sale in the northeastern United States, the property is surrounded by ocean and conservation lands and offers the ultimate in privacy.
“Homer’s Pond is so large and secluded that one might call it a private kingdom,” said Charles Carlson, one of the property’s listing agents. This magnificent, one-of-a-kind property can be purchased in its entirety for $118,000,000, or a buyer may select to purchase a 100-acre land parcel on the western shore of Homer’s Pond for $31,000,000, a 164-acre land parcel on the eastern shore of the pond for $43,000,000, or both parcels for $74,000,000. Multiple building sites with breathtaking pond and ocean views have been identified on each parcel. These sites are ideal for individual homes or compounds for families and friends.
“The property’s unique size and terrain maximize seclusion and privacy, its proximity to the airport ensures quick access, and for those looking for an active and social lifestyle, Edgartown is just minutes away,” added Carlson. “Homer’s Pond is much more than a summer escape destination — it is a year-round investment unimaginable to many and one characterized by beauty, serenity, and convenience in all four seasons.”
Each element of Homer’s Pond is oversized. 1,200 feet of private oceanfront beach, a 35-acre fresh water pond for swimming and boating, and seemingly endless pristine woodlands and grasslands grace the property. Although not a mansion, the residence has spectacular amenities. Floor-to-ceiling windows dominate the four-bedroom, 5,600 square-foot home, taking full advantage of 180-degree views of Little Homer’s Pond, and a white sand beach fronting the Atlantic Ocean. A competition quality Har-Tru® tennis court, sauna, steam room, whirlpool spa, outdoor heated salt-water pool, sweeping decks, and a “state-of-the-art” underground wine cellar with a separate above ground entrance with a capacity of 12,000 bottles complement the home that sits on its own 50-acre parcel. On the property is a charming one-bedroom beach house — perched on stilts and standing amidst trees — overlooking the private beach with its amazing ocean and pond views.
With all of Homer’s Pond’s beauty and amenities, the property’s most exceptional quality is undoubtedly the land, with its vastness and untapped potential for development of one or more compounds for families and friends. For those seeking incredible views, private oceanfront beach, fresh water ponds, supreme privacy, and Martha’s Vineyard cache, there is no place like Homer’s Pond.

Guests will find cuisine that is representative of cultures from Italy, the Middle East, France and beyond. Menu items include Jerusalem artichokes with artisan prosciutto, burrata and yellow tomato for $13; Korean spiced spare ribs with green papaya slaw for $9; rock shrimp & scallop croissant with smoked pear tomatoes, bibb lettuce and blueberry-black pepper compote for $12, plus an exciting array of other options.

Hard-fought away match consisting of seven bookings results in road point for Lions
BEAVERCREEK, Ohio— Orlando City SC (11-2-5, 38 points) played to a 3-3 draw against the Dayton Dutch Lions (7-4-6, 27 points) Sunday night at Beavercreek High School Stadium in Beavercreek, Ohio. Sporting Kansas City (Major League Soccer) loanee and MLS 2011 Rookie of the Year C.J. Sapong scored his first goal for the Lions in the second half to put the Lions up 3-2, but Orlando was unable to hold off a late Dayton rally to end the match at 3-3.
Orlando notched the first score of the match in the 24th minute, with Forward Dennis Chin knocking in a loose ball in front of Dayton Goalkeeper Matthew Williams to give the Lions a 1-0 advantage. After the ball was previously scooped up by Williams, Chin refused to give up on the play- knocking in fumbled possession by the goalkeeper for the early lead.
The Dutch Lions responded later on in the first half, with Dayton Midfielder Shintaro Harada equalizing in the 35th minute of play. After a pass in by the Dutch Lions, an unlucky rebound found Harada, who blasted his attempt past Sporting Kansas City loanee and Goalkeeper Jon Kempin for the goal.
Orlando wasn’t done with scoring in the first half, with a well played give-and-go between James O’Connor and loanee C.J. Sapong resulting in the Lions’ second goal of the evening. After receiving a pass in the midfield, O’Connor made a run on the left side of the pitch, finding Sapong in the heart of the Dutch Lions defense. Sapong immediately fed it back to O’Connor behind the Dayton backline, with the midfielder converting for the 2-1 lead.
Dayton’s Shintaro Harada, who was shown a yellow card for a tactical foul in the 42nd minute, was given his second at the start of the second half for the Dutch Lions after the same type of professional takedown – putting the home side down to a disadvantage of 10 men for the rest of the match.
Despite the man down, Dayton equalized off of a penalty kick in the 59th minute. A handball was called on the Orlando backline inside the 18-yard box, awarding the penalty opportunity. Dutch Lion Joel DeLass took the opportunity in the 57th minute, with it being called back due to early movement on the home team side. DeLass calmly converted the second attempt a minute later, tying the match at 2-2.
The Lions answered with a penalty conversion of their own, with Sapong scoring his first goal for Orlando in the 66th minute.
