In a very cold Saturday night, an innovative option for Central Florida. Orlando Rocking Rodeo has its debut but already seems like a keeper that will for sure return next year. The Production of the show by Paulo Caran , Bender, and Raul Castello Caetano, housing the World Championship Finals for Bull riders, was a very large event with three days of entertainment. Lots of music, FREE FOOD AND 2 FREE BEERS PER ADMISSION, plus the bull ride competition, seem like the perfect mix to attract a lot of audience. On Saturday the main attraction besides the cowboys was Jessie Brown, that showed her beautiful voice to the audience and played a big variety of songs besides her own songs. If you still don’t know Jessie Brown, here is a little about her, and you can also visit her website at jessiebrownmusic.com
Growing up in the heartland of Indiana, Jessie has been passionate about music since she was a little girl. Her family was part of a touring southern gospel group, and Jessie traveled and sang with them starting at age three until she was 13. “I didn’t have what people probably think of as a traditional childhood,” she says. “But I feel so privileged to have had a background like that. I learned to love being on stage.”
It was also through her family that Jessie discovered a love of country music. “I always listened to a lot of country music growing up,” she says. “My aunt and several members of my family always had it going.” She also says that southern gospel and country music have threads of the same roots, so writing and performing her own country songs feels very much like home to her. One thing for sure, Jessie is almost booked for the year, for now she is working on a new CD for 2012, and she is definitely on the right track.
One of the major attractions was the barrel racers that performed at the Rodeo such as Megan Calhoun, already a multiple time champion by NBHA.
The event in Orlando was publicized by MT Advertising that through its campaign made it possible to reach out for the huge Brazilian Audience in Central and SouthFlorida. Brazilians are big fans of Rodeos and many of the Cowboys in the show are Brazilian . During the cowboys presentation, the audience kept cheering, the masters of ceremony spoke in English and Portuguese and it was great. They even manage to make the audience to speak one word in Portuguese, considering many locals were present, it was a great task, but everybody was having a lot of fun. It was a great night, and looking forward to have some more fun on the final day.
We tried to bring you a little of everything, but it was really fun!
Have fun with the pictures.
