A 3-day Weekend Culminating in an Evening of Dazzling Color & Images from the top
Emerging Artists of Central & South America
The colors, nature and costumes of Cuba and Central America are reflected in the
majority of the artwork to be available in the upcoming charity event, the Premiere
Pan American Art Auction. Collage currency in politically large formats, a Mendive
painting on palm tree, small bronze sleeping horse, Elvis and Lennon statues, and a
life-size guitar-playing construction are some of the Three-dimensional works to be
won. Paintings, genre scenes, detailed oils, ink drawings, enhanced architectural plans,
abstracted rain forests, etchings of emigrants and portraits in several medias will meet
with competitive bidding, from $150 to 150,000 – investment artwork for all investors.
The Society for the Advancement of Latin American Art creates the charity auction to
benefit emerging/contemporary artists in our neighboring countries. The non-profit
began in 1995 after Dr. Jay & Anita Hyman first visited Cuban artists in and around
Havana. They continue to exhibit, assist in marketing and sponsor emerging Latin
American artists. These fine artists are already or soon-to-be masters in their respective
countries as well as though out the art world.
Receptions, private showings, public displays and other events will entertain and acquaint
the bidders with the artwork for the weekend. The lots will be displayed starting March
1st in the Arts Garage galleries. The Premiere Pan American Art Auction is sponsored
in part by Crane’s BeachHouse and Ford Fine Art. A 10% buyer’s premium on all lots
sold will be donated to The Arts Garage, who helps host the premier event. Absentee
bids will be accepted. Catalog and live bidding on-line available at http://www.fordfineart.com/
