The year is almost over, and it is time to celebrate all the good things that happened! For us at CFBACC it was a challenging year, but the support and inspiration of all the friends we gathered along this time was overwhelming, and it proves that help sometimes comes from the most unexpected sources.
The Year in review for CFBACC, with a Board elected at the end of 2011, with a small mix of new, proves that young blood and a fresh look at things, brings a perspective more than innovative. And when you talk about innovation we did it. Lots of criticism, sometimes even casual irony, but at the end we did what had to be done, and the proof is here in front of us. After a year of giving our members several opportunities to network, make connections and thrive, we promoted 11 breakfasts, 11 business after hours, a Brazilian Independence Day event, and The End of the Year Celebration. We also had an event promoted by Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs, Brazil a World of Opportunities, with the sponsorship of Joao Marcos Arruda, also CFBACC President in 2011.
The New President Amy Litter, gave the Chamber with her wisdom, a brand new day, full of opportunities for all that wanted to get on board, we doubled our membership numbers, and since we elected the new Board, with 11 powerful women in it, nothing can stop us. The Best is yet to come ! We can all dream of an even Greater Chamber now, and you knoe why? Because we know we can ! But the event was at The Rosen Center, great service, great food, decoration perfect! The Sponsors were, Walt Disney World Hotels and Resorts, Bright House Network, OUC, Silzer Law Chartered, Emeritus Law-Entitle Land and Trust,New York Life, and Chef Santos Restaurant.
At the event many were recognized. Ramos Ojeda, President at the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Metro Orlando, for his great support to the Chamber audacious growing plan, Hector Perez from New York Life, as a valuable friend of the Board and supporting many events, Daniela Pulcini for incomparable Legal Advice throughout the Year, Sean Slack for the Best Breakfast Speech of the Year 2012 with more than 85 attendees, and Joao Marcos Arruda Pires for his vision, example and support.
Were also recognized, Juliana Scolari for Moneycorp, for her participation and incentive throughout the year, Banda BRa-Sergio Hazan always by the Chamber side, Sandra Freier for being a an inspiration with her work at the New Hope Assistance Center, and also all the Event Sponsors.
Present also were Perfumeland and City Commissioner District 6 – Samuel B. Ings, his wife, Alejandro and Toninho. Director of Multicultural Affairs to Mayor Buddy Dyer Luis Martinez-Alicea, Artist Soco Freire, and many more . A great event, with great people celebrating great results ! We can’t wait til next Year! Now check the pictures!
