Winning designs to appear on a T-shirt this fall
Two talented kids have just expanded their art gallery. Lands’ End today announced the winners of the Lands’ End Kids’ Art Contest: Jaimie Li, age 7, from Austin, Texas and Anna Varady, age 9, from Canton, Ga. Li and Varady will have their forest-themed art printed on a T-shirt and offered this fall on landsend.com. In addition, the winners will receive a $500 Lands’ End gift card. The art contest is in conjunction with the company’s partnership with the National Forest Foundation (NFF), representing Lands’ End’s commitment to sustainability. Lands’ End and the NFF have committed to planting nearly 400,000 trees in two U.S. National Forests this spring.
“We received so many wonderful entries in this contest. It’s clear that there are many talented kids out there who love nature and the beauty of a forest,” said Liz Pierce, senior design director, Lands’ End. “With their bright colors and bold graphics, Lindsey’s and Jaimie’s designs will look great on a T-shirt.” Both winners’ art feature giant trees set against a blue sky. Li’s art includes a spacious, castle-like tree house and Varady’s depicts scrolling tree branches, forest friends and the words reduce, reuse, and recycle.
In addition to the two top winners, four second-place winners will receive a $250 Lands’ End gift card, and four third-place winners will receive a $100 Lands’ End gift card. To view the winning entries, visitwww.landsend.com/artcontest.
