Krispy Kreme and The Salvation Army Kick Off 2nd Annual School Supply Drive “Stuff the Bus” Campaign Starts August 4 in Orlando

The campaign will serve community families in need by helping kids from across the country gear up for a successful academic year while also easing the high cost of school supplies for parents.  

The “Stuff the Bus” campaign will kick off on August 4 and will run through August 17, 2013.  Supporters are asked to drop off new school supplies at the Krispy Kreme shops in Central Florida including:

Open 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. (Sunday – Thursday) and 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. (Friday and Saturday)

 All types of school supplies are needed, including notebooks, binders, pens, pencils, scissors, crayons, markers, glue, rulers, and hand sanitizer.
As a sweet reward, supporters will receive one FREE Original Glazed® doughnut for a single school supply item donation, and one FREE Original Glazed® dozen for each donation of a backpack that contains school supplies. The supplies will be given to The Salvation Army and distributed to youth in need through the community social service programs.
“We want to thank Krispy Kreme for once again helping us provide children with the essential supplies needed for success in the classroom,” said Major Ron Busroe, national community relations and development secretary for The Salvation Army. “We hope our supporters will assist their neighbors in need by donating and enjoying a free donut from our friends at Krispy Kreme.”
