The First Annual Mahatma Gandhi Diversity Breakfast was a huge success! Celebrating Gandhi’s birthday and remembering his impressive life, we learned how amazing it is to live among this colorful and diverse Community, filled with great professionals and people that devote their lives to a better community . Leader of our Community, such as Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs, Tax Collector Scott Randolph, Sheriff Jerry Demings, Orlando Police Chief Paul Rooney, Supervisor of Ellections Bill Cowles, Clerk of the Courts Colleen Reilly and many more supported the Event presented by Orange County Property Appraiser Rick Singh, and IACC- Indian American Chamber of Commerce.
We are all different ! We come from different countries, and or different parts of America, and we learn to deal with all our differences, to create a better environment to live and work. As Mayor Teresa Jacobs said on her speech. ” I don’t think Gandhi would be happy with the world today, but he would approve what we do in Orange County“.
It is an honor to be part of this great Community, to be part of something so close to the heart, showing that what we do is not a gift for others but also to ourselves.
