With one out of every eight American women developing breast cancer in their lifetime, early detection and awareness has become key to survival. In partnership with the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Pilot Corporation of America (Pilot Pen) is supporting the cause and raising awareness during Breast Cancer Awareness Month with three of its bestselling pens specially designed with a Breast Cancer Awareness pink ribbon imprinted on the barrel.
“We all understand the importance of supporting breast cancer research and promoting early detection,” said Ariann Langsam, Director of Consumer Marketing, Pilot Pen. “Pilot is proud to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation in its efforts to save lives through early detection and to provide mammograms for those in need. Pilot’s line of pink ribbon pens are stylish and write incredibly well.  They’re great pens for an even greater cause.”

Pilot will donate 10% of gross proceeds from each pink ribbon product sold now through December 31, 2015, up to $100,000, to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.  You can show your support with pink ribbon versions of the popular G2, Dr. Grip Center of Gravity and the FriXion Light Erasable Highlighter.

Additionally, as part of its Breast Cancer Awareness efforts, Pilot Pen is encouraging people to ‘Pen it Forward’ by sharing their “Words of Hope” with all those affected by breast cancer from survivors to people currently receiving treatment.  Bringing the written word to the digital world, Pilot will be sharing hand written notes of encouragement & advice from cancer patients and survivors.  For each user generated “Words of Hope” post shared on Pilot’s Facebook, Twitter or Instagram pages before November 1, 2013, using #PenItFWD, Pilot will donate $5 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
