Aneloski Heads to Iowa, Ross to Toronto

 

Orlando, FL – The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Minnesota Wild and Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL’s Iowa Wild and Toronto Marlies, announced today that F Wade MacLeod has been assigned to Orlando, D Bryce Aneloski has been loaned to the Iowa Wild, and F Brad Ross has been reassigned to the Toronto Marlies.

MacLeod has played in five games with the Solar Bears this season, scoring three goals, including a two goal performance to help Orlando to a 3-1 win over theWade MacLeodGreenville Road Warriors on November 28. In 34 games with the Toronto Marlies, he has posted 15 points on five goals and 10 assists. MacLeod has skated in 129 AHL contests with Toronto and the Springfield Falcons, scoring 20 goals and adding 38 assists for 58 points.

Aneloski notched his first hat trick as a Solar Bear in the team’s last outing, helping Orlando to a 4-3 shootout win over the South Carolina Stingrays on Saturday night. In 56 games with the Solar Bears this season, he has posted 27 points on nine goals and 18 assists. Aneloski played one game earlier this season in the AHL with the Toronto Marlies. A native of Pekin, Illinois, Aneloski made his professional debut with 7 playoff appearances for the Allen Americans (CHL) last season, posting three points on two goals and one assist.

Ross returns to the Toronto Marlies after skating in six contests for Orlando. He scored his first ECHL goal on March 19 to opening up the scoring in a 5-4 Solar Bears win over the Fort Wayne Komets. Drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the second round of the 2010 NHL Entry draft, Ross has played in 46 games for the Marlies this year, scoring five goals and adding two assists for seven points along with 73 PIM.

The Solar Bears return from their nine-game road trip tomorrowMarch 26, against Cincinnati and then face the Evansville IceMen on Thursday, March 27, and Saturday, March 29. All games will start at 7:00 p.m. To get tickets, click here.
