2015 CCM/ECHL All-Star Classic presented by Visit Orlando

Orlando, FL – The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Minnesota Wild and Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL’s Iowa Wild and Toronto Marlies, in conjunction with the ECHL, announced their schedule for the 2014-15 “All-Star” Season. The Orlando Solar Bears will open their season on home ice for the first time in the team’s three-year history when they face the Greenville Road Warriors2015 ECHL All-Star Classic for Opening Night, presented by Cricket Wireless, at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, at the Amway Center. The final draft of the schedule will be available in August after the NBA schedule is released.

The Solar Bears 36 game regular season home schedule currently features three home games in October, two in November, five in December, nine in January, seven in February, six in March, and four in April. The 2015 CCM/ECHL All-Star Classic presented by Visit Orlando will be played on Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at the Amway Center. The Solar Bears will face a team of All-Stars selected from the rest of the ECHL teams. More details about the All-Star game and related events will be released in the future.

Orlando will face South Division rivals the Florida Everblades 15 times (7 home, 8 road), Greenville Road Warriors 10 times (6 home, 4 road), Gwinnett Gladiators 12 times (5 home, 7 road), and South Carolina Stingrays 11 times (7 home, 4 road).

Solar Bears home games played Monday through Thursday and Saturday will start at 7:00 p.m. Friday games will start at 7:30 p.m. Sunday games will start at 3:00 p.m.

Business After Hours at The Orlando City Soccer Club Home Office

The Central Florida Brazilian American Chamber of Commerce had one more successful Business After Hours, this time hosted by The Orlando City Soccer Club at their home office. Many of CFBACC members and political figures were present honoring the event. The Orlando City Soccer has been a long time member of  CFBACC and has given the Chamber substantial support throughout the years. Brett Lashbrook-Chief Operating Officer, spoke about the impact it will have in the Brazilian Community, in the near future. For starters the new Brazilian  game narrator Marcos Peres, that was a sports correspondent for Globo TV for many years, has already started to make a difference, bringing Brazil to a larger participation and interaction during the games that are transmitted via internet in Portuguese.

The Orlando Lions  Facebook fan page in Brazil has already completed 711.000 Likes, with fans overseas longing to be here and be a part of the revolution. We are also hearing that many soccer stars are coming to town, rumors of Robinho, Kaka’ and these are just some of the names that may come to play in Orlando. Imagine the consequences! It will be amazing!

Soccer is part of Brazilian Culture it is a part of every Brazilian life in many ways, and the Orlando City Soccer has given us the opportunity to feel at home at the games, it has been a great Journey since the beginning and we are glad to be a part of it. The orange bowl is under reconstruction and will be ready to host the games in 2015 until the new stadium gets ready in 2016. The MLS is here, the team is getting ready, and it is here to stay. The CFBACC is proud to have them.
