“The Central Florida High School Hockey League (CFHSHL) is thrilled that Bright House Sports Network (BHSN) will have live coverage from the RDV Sportsplex Ice Den of our upcoming games and playoffs culminating with the presentation of the Solar Bears Cup!” said Jul Guerra, President of the CFHSHL Board of Directors. “BHSN will give our community a chance to see our local student athletes showcase their talents and continue to grow ice hockey awareness in Central Florida.”

Teams in the Solar Bears Conference compete for the Solar Bears Cup. Last year’s champion, and the first ever winner of the Solar Bears Cup, was Seminole North (now Lake Mary High School). They will look to defend their title, with the Championship game scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, at the RDV Sportsplex Ice Den.

The CFHSHL expanded this season, and now includes seven varsity and five junior varsity teams representing Lake Mary High School, Orange County, Seminole County, Volusia County, Brevard County, Osceola County, and Jacksonville. Other high school hockey conferences in Florida include the Lightning Conference in Tampa and the Panther Conference in South Florida.

“Bright House Sports Network, your home for high school sports, is excited to produce the Central Florida High School Hockey League games from the RDV Sportsplex,” said Paul Kosuth, General Manager at Bright House Sports Network. “The Orlando Solar Bears have been instrumental in assisting BHSN with these games.
