Bright House Networks is bringing its customers one of the fastest residential online experiences available with the launch of a new 300 Mbps broadband service throughout its full Florida service area. The new ultra-fast speed tier, offering download speeds of up to 300 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 15 Mbps, will be available to all residential customers in Tampa Bay and the Central Florida region beginning later this month.

The new service, offered over the Bright House Networks digital platform, will provide advanced broadband services to more customers who simultaneously connect to the Internet through tablets, laptops and smartphones within their homes. Customers will be able to enjoy improved streaming that enables them to download high definition video and music in minutes, enjoy real-time video interaction with family and friends (via Facetime, Google Hangouts, etc.), utilize seamless advanced gaming functions and advanced home automation and concierge services.

“We continually look for ways to provide the best available choices to our customers. Just a few months ago, we increased our maximum bandwidth offering to 150 Mbps, and now we are making available an additional product at 300 Mbps,” said Kevin Hyman, executive vice president, Cable Operations, Bright House Networks. “We’ve opted to make this product available to our entire Florida footprint meaning millions of Floridians will have this choice available to them.”

By choosing Bright House Networks new 300 Mbps service, customers can also now more easily access and use other applications that require high bandwidth. Telecommuters will appreciate faster access to online cloud storage; students will benefit from expanded digital learning opportunities while parents and teachers benefit from improved communications through video conferencing; and residents can enjoy peace of mind with the ability to connect and communicate remotely with their physicians via the Internet.
