Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and OUC to Host Spring into Sustainability WorkshopsResidents Will Learn How to Be Green and Save Green


  

WHAT:
Since 2007, when Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer launched Green Works Orlando, the City of Orlando has worked to become one of the most sustainable cities in America to ensure that we protect our natural resources and amenities for our residents and future generations to come. 

This spring, Mayor Dyer and OUC – The Reliable One invite residents to a “Spring into Sustainability” workshop in their area. Residents will learn about programs and incentives that will help save energy, water and money. The interactive meeting will provide information on the following programs:
  • City of Orlando One Person, One Tree
  • City of Orlando Solid Waste Division composting and recycling program
  • Solar Energy Loan Fund (SELF)
  • Local food resources
  • OUC’s Home Warranty Protection program
  • OUC’s Electric Vehicle Stations and Community Solar Farm
  • OUC Power Pass program
  • OUC’s Energy-Efficiency Rebate programs
  • OUC’s New Consumption Dashboard

Events are scheduled in each City of Orlando District from 5:15 – 7:15 p.m.at the following locations:
