Orlando, FL – Solar Bears forward Jacob Cepis announced today his retirement from professional hockey. Cepis has collected more goals (35), assists (77), and points (112) in a Solar Bears uniform than any player in the ECHL history of the Orlando Solar Bears.

“Orlando is class organization,” said Cepis. “I had a phenomenal time playing Jacob Cepis for the the Solar Bears. The fans are the best in the ECHL, and I consider Orlando to be a second home. The ownership is first class, and things are only going to get better for the team. I want to thank Jason Siegel and Joe Haleski and all the fans for making Orlando a special place to play.”

“On behalf of our organization and fans, we want to thank Jacob for his leadership and dedication to the Solar Bears,” said Solar Bears President/CEO Jason Siegel. “He provided us with so many exciting moments and was a tremendous competitor on the ice and a gentleman off the ice. We look forward to bringing Jacob back during the upcoming season to recognize him in person.”
