Brand Launches Standalone Men’s Instagram to Coincide with New York Fashion Week: Men’s
Last night, UGG® for Men (a division of Deckers Brands NYSE: DECK) debuted as the exclusive footwear sponsor at the Grungy Gentleman Spring/Summer 2016 runway show. In conjunction with the CFDA’s first New York Fashion Week: men’s, it was the first time the brand was present on a New York City runway.
One hundred Freamon shoes in custom cobalt blue to compliment the Grungy Gentleman palette embossed with a “G” on the tongue were created exclusively for the Grungy Gentleman runway show as a partnership with UGG® for Men.
According to Patrick Armitage, Director of Product Development; Men’s at UGG, “This collaboration is a natural. Both brands communicate masculine simplicity and appeal to men who are bold…with a brilliant stylistic edge.”
“I was thrilled to work with UGG® for Men as the footwear sponsor for my Spring/Summer 16 show,” said Jace Lipstein, Founder and Designer of Grungy Gentleman. “Sneakers featured exhibit supreme craftsmanship and details, all while maintaining the comfort all guys know from their popular slippers.”
The brand also showcased other styles from the core line, including the Steiner and Bueller, new sneaker silhouettes from the Fall 2015 line, in addition to the Freamon, Chester Woven and Kas.
In conjunction with men’s Fashion Week, the brand launched @UGGforMen Instagram. For the first time, men will have an exclusive social channel that will drive awareness to the breadth and depth of men’s product, events and culture.
