Shea has been playing with a nagging injury for some time. He left in the 40th minute of Orlando City match against the Colorado Rapids on June 24th.
He has played in 14 games for the Lions in 2015, logging nearly 1,300 minutes as both a left-back early in the season and in the midfield most recently.
Orlando will return to league play on Saturday, July 18, for an Eastern Conference matchup against the New York Red Bulls. Kick-off is set for 7:30 p.m. ET at the Orlando Citrus Bowl.
